The Card Shark
Cards, close enough to touch. You watch the deck the whole way through, and it still does something it has no business doing.
Brandon works at a table, or standing with a group close enough that there is nowhere for a move to hide. That closeness is deliberate. The nearer you are, the harder it is to talk yourself out of what you just watched happen.
It is within our suspension of disbelief where mystery lies and magic begins to happen.
The Mentalist
Mentalism that runs on attention rather than props. Kent works with whatever your guests give him — a word someone was only thinking of, a choice they are certain they made freely — and hands it back changed.
He takes the front of a seated set, or moves through a reception, depending on what your evening needs. Either way the material comes out of the people standing in front of him, so nobody sits through an act they have seen before.
No two sets ever run the same way: your guests write half of it.
The Magician
Classical magic and illusion — linking rings, silks, ropes. The repertoire that made most of us fall for magic in the first place, and the kind of close-up that makes a loud table go quiet.
Dream performs it near enough to be inspected, and it plays to a seated audience as readily as to four people at a high-top with drinks in their hands. The rings get handed over afterwards. Examining them has never once helped.
